Lucknow: The Excise Department carried out a surprise inspection drive in the Bazaar Khala mill area, taking strict action to curb public consumption of alcohol around licensed outlets.
The raid targeted composite liquor shops dealing in English liquor and beer. During the campaign, officials found instances of people consuming alcohol in public spaces near these shops. The team issued stern warnings to individuals found violating the rules.
Officials also directed vendors and license holders to ensure that alcohol is not consumed within or around their shop premises. They were clearly instructed to maintain strict compliance with excise regulations.
Leading the operation, Inspector Vijay Rathi emphasized that any повтор violation would invite stringent legal action. “If such нарушения are found again, strict action will be taken against the concerned license holders,” he warned.
